Congratulations to the following 2009 Hawks Boys Lacrosse players on their individual achievements. An incredible amount of work went into preparing for each season, and each of these players has led by their words, actions, and passion for the game:

Anyone planning to tryout for the 2010 HSHS Boys Lacrosse Team has a lot of opportunities to improve various components of their game and overall athletic ability. Plan to be a part of some or all of the following items. If you have questions, please contact Coach Greenberg at dgreenberg@wcpss.net or Coach Holota at nrholota@gmail.com.
A. North Carolina State Games, South Region: Tryouts June 5 at Halifax Park
B. 2009 YLS Summer 70 Lacrosse Camp: June 22-26 from 5:30pm-8pm at HSHS. Register at www.YLSlacrosse.com
C. 2009 YLS Summer LAX League: July 9-August 4 (6pm, 7pm, 8pm), games on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Register at www.YLSlacrosse.com
D. 2009 YLS Fall LAX League: September-October (6pm, 7pm, 8pm), game on Sunday evenings. Register at www.YLSlacrosse.com
E. Crossfit Training: Friday evenings at 7pm. Contact Mr. Price at fprice21@aol.com
F. Summer Stick Sessions: June-July, Mon/Wed/Fri from 8am-10am at HSHS. Notifications will be sent through the Coaching Mark roster only.
G. Personal Weight Training: 3 days per week off campus. Follow the HSHS lacrosse guide or an acceptable guide from a personal trainer.
H. Multi-sport Development: be actively involved in other sports as part of crossfit training.
Eat properly, drink water, stretch properly, increase flexibility and strength, rest, recover, and learn to use good form in all that you do. It is too late to change bad fitness habits once the regular season has started.
